Located near the border of Lancaster and Chester Counties in Honey Brook PA, the Lanchester Landfill is a 600-acre solid waste management facility operated by the Chester County Solid Waste Authority.  It handles over 300,000 tons of waste per year.  This event gives you an opportunity to learn about the landfill during a short, classroom presentation followed by a two-hour tour of the landfill that will include landfill gas and leachate treatment facilities.  Busing will be provided at appropriate points throughout the tour.

4:15:  Return to facility, sign-out, collect certificate of attendance, departures

Arrivals/Parking: Turn in the entrance and make an immediate left to the parking lot.  Park near the flag pole and brick building.
