This rate is intended for students and young professionals and includes all activities at our Annual Meeting including AM refreshments, lunch, afternoon break, and Continental Drifters reception. Do not register separately for the Annual Meeting if you qualify as a student/young professional.

Environmental Field Methods: An Introduction to Fieldwork Preparation, Subcontractor Oversight, and Sample Collection

This session is held concurrently with our Annual Meeting. Registration fee for this break-out session includes the full Annual Meeting program Do not register separately for our Annual Meeting.

If attending only this session, it begins at 9:35 AM and ends at 2:30 with lunch in your D/E classroom 12:15 - 1:00.

  • 9:30-9:35  —  Welcome/Opening Remarks (Ballroom A/B/C) — Seating is for annual meeting attendees, but you are invited to join and stand along side of room.
  • 9:35–10:00  —  Introduction to Environmental Field Methods (Ballroom D/E)
  • 10:00-10:45  —  Pennsylvania One Call System: An Overview
  • 10:45-12:15  —  Drilling Techniques and Equipment (Rear parking area of hotel). Attendees will gather outside in the rear parking area around two drill rigs for a presentation on drilling techniques and equipment. This session is weather permitting. Please be prepared with weather-appropriate attire. In case of severe weather, a modified version of this session may be conducted indoors.
  • 12:15-1:00  —  Luncheon, Networking (Ballroom D/E)
  • 1:00-1:15  —  PCPG Year in Review, Current and Planned Activities, Recognition of Special Guests (Ballroom A/B/C) — Seating is for annual meeting attendees, but you are invited to join and stand along side of room.
  • 1:15 - 1:45  —  Introduction to Sample Collection/Environmental Field Equipment (Ballroom D/E)
  • 1:45 - 2:30  —  The Extraction and Analysis of Environmental Samples for PFAS: The Impact of  Matrix from Real-World Samples
  • 2:30  —  Students and Young Professionals event ends

Attendees are invited to join the final two Annual Meeting sessions being held in Ballroom A/B/C. Seating is for annual meeting attendees, but you are invited to join and stand along side of room, then remain through the networking reception that concludes at 6:00 PM. Prior to departure, be sure to sign-out.
